The Kinesio Taping Method has received widespread exposure in recent years through its use on high profile athletes such as David Beckham, Serena Williams, Lance Armstrong and many competitors at the 2008 Beijing Olympics. At the Australian Open Tennis in 2010, players such as Lleyton Hewitt and Gael Monfils were using the tape to help alleviate their pain during the championship.
Kinesio Tape was founded in 1973 by a Japanese chiropractor named Dr. Kenzo Kase. While it has been used in other parts of the world for some time, it was only introduced to Australia in 2004 by Dr. Kase himself.

How it works
Kinesio Tape is a uniquely designed elastic tape that enhances muscular, joint and circulatory function. It works by taping around or over muscles with the intent to either relax an overused muscle or facilitate a weakened muscle. It also helps to correct joint alignment and by improving the lymphatic flow, it aids in muscle recovery.
